Lincoln MKZ hybrid recall has been announced about by Ford. Nearly 7,153 vehicles are affected by the recall. The affected Lincoln MKZ Hybrid sedans are of 2013-2014 model years. The cars were built between April 26, 2012, and September 24, 2013.
The Problem
The problem with the affected sedans is that they have faulty transmission range sensors that may cause the car to be shifted out of Park without the brake pedal being applied. The defect may result in a vehicle rollover increasing the risk of a crash.
The Fix
The aforementioned problem has made Ford Motor Company issue a recall of the affected sedans. The dealers will update the powertrain control module software free of charge. The manufacturer will notify owners in January. If you want to get more information about the Lincoln MKZ hybrid recall you can contact Ford at 866-436-7332.
