TRD Griffon Concept: Tuned EIGHT-SIX

Toyota 86 TRD Griffon Concept first time presented 2013 Tokyo Auto Salon. GT 86 TRD Griffon concept was faster around the Tskuba circuit than a Ferrari 458!

Toyota Racing Development “Griffon Concept” Toyota 86 completely reworked suspension system the GT 86 receives a long list of light weight components. Most part such as: the front bumper, doors, roof, the front fenders, rear bumper and hood are all made of carbon fiber. the windows  have been replaced with polycarbonate.

Griffon Concept is lose a lot of weight  (about 500 lbs) compared to the stock GT 86 (which is already an light car).
