Senner Tuning gives the Audi S5 a new face, forged wheels, and 446 HP

The team at Senner Tuning has taken the recently facelifted Audi S5 and given it a full performance makeover with new forged wheels, engine tuning, and carbon fiber.

The Audi S5 has been one of the go-to performance coupes from the German automaker’s lineup besides its big and powerful super car sibling, the R8. The sleek shape, curvy lines, and modern design helped make the first generation of A5s so successful in terms of sales and now the newly facelifted versions are looking to carry that momentum. For those that want a bit more performance to go along with the new style, the new S5 is the perfect choice. Now the German aftermarket tuning specialists have developed a new upgrade program designed specifically for the facelifted model that takes performance and style to the next level. The upgrade kit includes everything from carbon fiber interior and exterior goodies, to engine tuning, and even a refined chassis and forged wheels.

There aren’t many changes beneath the hood on the newly facelifted Audi S5 compared to the pre-facelift models. The same supercharged 3.0-liter V-6 engine with a generous amount of low and mid range power spins all four forged wheels. But after Senner Tuning was done with the supercharged V-6, things got a bit more fun. They installed a new Injen carbon fiber cold air intake system to suck in cool air and borrowed an exhaust with optimized downpipe from the Audi RS 5 model for better sound and backpressure characteristics. The final step was an ECU tune that resulted in a total of 446 horsepower and 377 lb-ft. of torque, sending the Audi S5 Coupe to 60 mph in an instant.

To match the performance underneath the hood, the team at Senner Tuning took steps to modify the exterior. The front of the Audi S5 features an RS 5-look front apron that is even more aggressive and an RS 5 front radiator grille and license plate holder in black. A pair of flash red carbon fiber intake inserts adds a contrasting touch of sport to the coupe. Between the front and rear forged wheels is the same red carbon fiber material used for the side skirts as well as the side mirrors. The rear sports a new screen, spoiler flap, and RS 5-look bumper to add even more aggressiveness to the S5 Coupe.

The chassis was fine-tuned for performance and sport by the German aftermarket tuning company. Here, they installed a new set of KW Variant 3 coilovers that reduce ride height and offers drivers the ability to change different bound and rebound settings for a specific track or road. The factory rim and tire setup was replaced with new forged wheels from COR Wheels that measure 9.0 x 20 up front and 10.5 x 20 at the rear and are fitted with Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta performance tires for even better grip.
