Tesla Model S Recall for fire Hazards

Tesla Model S recall affects more than 29,000 vehicles in the US. Read more to see what is the reason for recalling so many vehicles.

According to a report made by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), Tesla Model S recall will start soon. Affected are about 29,222 Tesla Model S cars. The problem is that there is a fire risk with the NEMA 14-50 Universal Mobile Connector. The thing is that the NEMA 14-50 adapters may overheat which may result in melted adapters or a fire.

The owners of the aforementioned Tesla vehicles will not have to visit Tesla dealerships for repairs. The owners will receive a software update. Once the owners update the software, the vehicles will start detecting any sudden changes in the input power to the vehicles. Then, after these fluctuations are detected, the onboard charging system will reduce them up to 25%.

If you are a Tesla Model S owner and you have not yet received the software update, you should call the Tesla Service Center to get the update.
