Nearly 11,961 recalls are affected by Kia Sportage recall. The vehicles are all of 2014 model year and were manufactured from September 30, 2013 through January 11, 2014. The defect due to which the vehicles are being recalled is that the labels on the crossovers contain incorrect tire pressure information printed on them.
Low tire pressure may result in premature tire wear, thus increasing the risk of a crash, according to the report made by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
The recall is expected to start during February, 2014. The owners of the affected crossovers will get a sticker listing the right tire pressure information free of charge.
