Toyota Recall: 10K Cars affected

Toyota has announced about a voluntary recall.

Nearly 10,000 vehicles in the United States of America are affected by Toyota recall. The recall has been announced voluntarily by the manufacturer. All the affected models are of 2013-2014 model years. The following vehicles are included in the recall: brand new 2014 model-year Corolla, 2013-2014 model years Camry and Camry Hybrid and 2013-2014 model years Avalon and Avalon Hybrid.

The problem with the affected vehicles is that certain parts in the wiper switch assembly may be defective. Thus, a short circuit may occur resulting in a crash.

Toyota has not yet announced about the date of the recall, but the owners of the affected vehicles will receive mail soon. The owners of the problematic vehicles may take their cars to the dealerships and have the switches replaced at no charge.

Owners can contact the automaker at 800-331-4331 for more information concerning the Toyota recall.
