Chrysler Ram Pickup recall has been issued lately. The automaker has announced that it will start three different recalls of about 1, 2 million vehicles. Affected are Chrysler Ram Pickup trucks. Following are the models that are affected by the three recalls:
842,400 Ram 2500 and 3500 trucks of 2003-2008 model years
294,000 Ram 2500 and 3500 pickups, chassis cabs of model years 2008-2012 and Ram 1500 4×4 Mega Cabs of 2008 model year
43,500 Ram 4500 and 5500 4×4 chassis cabs of 2008-2012 model years
The vehicles are being recalled mostly from the US (968,000 cars), but there is a considerable number of cars that is being recalled from Canada, Mexico and so on.
The vehicles are being recalled due to tie rods that may have not been aligned properly during manufacturing. The recall is really a huge one and the automaker says that about 726,000 cars may not even need repair.
The affected owners will receive vehicle recall notification letters about the Chrysler Ram Pickup recall starting with January, 2013. The dealers will inspect and fix the cars at no cost to the owners.
