Two Ford Recalls

This article is about two separate Ford recalls.

Ford recall this time includes E-Series vans and Ford Explorer vehicles due to two different issues. The affected E-series vans were built between May 12, 2011 and May 26, 2011. The vehicles affected by the recall are all of the 2011 model year and include the following models: Ford E-150, E-250, E-350 and E-450.

The problem with the Ford E-Series vans is that bubbles may appear in the windshields in hot temperature conditions and may make it hard for the drivers to see other objects on the road. This may increase the risk of a crash. The automaker will start the recall on January 27, 2014. The dealers will do the necessary work free of charge. Owners may contact Ford at 1-866-436-7332 for more information about the Ford recall.

As for the Explorer recall, about 395 vehicles of 2011 and 2012 model years are affected. The problem with these vehicles is connected with the steering system. The steering gear may be locked not letting the driver to steer the car. This may result in a car accident. The dealers will inspect the affected cars and will perform the necessary repair work free of charge.
