McLaren recalls nearly 400 Vehicles due to Wiper Problems

McLaren recall affects 374 vehicles the in United States

According to a report made by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), McLaren recall will affect 374 vehicles in the US. Only McLaren MP4-12C sports cars that are sold or registered in hot-weather states like Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, Florida, and Georgia are affected.

The affected MP4-12C Spider and Coupe cars were manufactured between October 10, 2011 and October 23, 2013.

The problem with the aforementioned vehicles is that the windshield wipers may malfunction. The thing is that the air in the above mentioned states may cause the wiper motor to lock up. Driving a vehicle without windshield wipers is rather dangerous.

Nine reports of wiper failure have already been reported in the US. The recall has already begun and owners of the affected cars are already being notified. The dealerships will replace the defective wiper motors free of charge. You can contact the automaker at 1-646-429-8916 for more information about the McLaren recall.
