Proof of this is a very minor proportion of automatic transmissions in urban models of just a few percent. The problem is not just one. Driving without changing speed in small cars will bring a step-less CVT transmission. They are very popular in small cars in Asia, and we are witnesses and their installation in new hybrid vehicles, which in its own way also show the future. The idea CVT gearbox is fantastic for smooth changes of gear ratios and the possibility of continuous work in the optimal range.
What does this mean? Simply, driving at high speeds will be achievable at even lower RPM, IE, consumption will probably be much lower. Such a relationship ratios really opens many possibilities.
