The Mille Miglia was an endurance based race established by Maggi and Franco Mazzotti, who are rumored to have started this race because their hometown of Brescia lost the Italian Grand Prix. Clemente Biondetti drove a 1938 Alfa Romea 6C 2300B Mille Miglia Spyder in the 1938 Mille Miglia Race, and he won the Championship title. In that same year, Mussolini, put a stop to the race because of an accident that occurred on the same track.
