Acura MDX recall affects about 19,197 luxury sports cars in the United States. The affected vehicles are of 2014 model year.
The Problem
The problem with the affected vehicles is that the propeller shafts are defective. According to the report made by the manufacturer, about four bolts that connect a propeller shaft to a universal joint may not have been attached adequately during the manufacturing process. These bolts may loosen and even detach over time. This may cause a car crash.
According to the automaker, no one has complained about the vehicles and no reports of injuries have been reported connected with the issue.
The Fix
The owners will be notified about the recall in mid-December. If your vehicle is also affected by the Acura MDX recall, then you should contact the dealer and have your vehicle fixed free of charge.
