Maserati recall: 63 Luxury Cars affected

Maserati recall affects about 63 vehicles built by the Italian luxury car maker. All the affected Quattroporte sedans are being recalled from the United States. The recall is said to only affect 2014 Quattroporte GTS V8 models, 63 of which are in the US.

The Problem

According to the report made by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the affected vehicles have got “an improper Y-connection crimp in the alternator-starter motor wiring harness.” In other words, the vehicles have got faulty wirings that may cause different problems, such as: electrical short circuits, fires, car stalling. Thus, the issue could cause the vehicle to stall and get involved in an accident.
