The Gallardo LP 570-4 Squadra Corse with Forged Wheels and 570 HP

The new Lamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4 Squadra Corse is ready to bring the race track to the road with its forged wheels, carbon fiber aero, and 5.2-liter engine.

The Lamborghini Gallardo has been one of the most successful models in the Italian automaker’s lineup since it was introduced. It’s compact proportions, relatively low entry price, and superb performance has made it quite popular amongst automotive enthusiasts and the wealthy around the world. With the model beginning to show signs of aging, Lamborghini has introduced a new Gallardo LP 570 Squadra Corse designed to bring its one make racing series to public streets. So far this is one of the most extreme Gallardo models yet, and it features a race prepped engine, forged wheels, lightweight construction, carbon fiber aerodynamics and more.

One of Lamborghini’s offerings to customers is a single make racing series that features race prepped Lamborghini Gallardo models that were modified for safety and performance on the race track with things such as roll cages, forged wheels, and new aerodynamics. With the success of this series, the company built the new Lamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4 Squadra Corse.

The new Lamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4 Squadra Corse is built like a race car but is street legal. The entire super car weighs in at a mere 1,340 kg, and uses a wide variety of lightweight components to achieve that incredibly low weight. All of the aerodynamic aspects of the car such as the rear wing spoiler, side skirts, rear diffuser, front bumper, front spoiler and splitter, side flics and more are all made from the lightweight material. The team also replaced the factory rims with a new set of forged wheels to reduce weight even further. The Lamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4 Squadra Corse also features lightweight carbon ceramic brakes that offer better fade resistance and stopping power with a lower overall weight than regular iron or steel systems.

The same race prepped 5.2 liter V-10 engine that is used in racing and is different from the factory production models is used in the new Lamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4 Squadra Corse. The engine cranks out a whopping 570 horsepower and ensures that it can compete with the best of exotics. The high output and low overall weight result in a superb 2.35 kg per horsepower power to weight ratio. All of that power is sent to all four forged wheels through a six-speed transmission allowing the super car to reach 62 mph in just 3.4 seconds and 124 mph in just 10.4 seconds.

Only 50 of the Lamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4 Squadra Corse will be produced and sold around the world. Pricing for the super car starts at $259,100 in the United States.
