Heico Sportiv is paying tribute to one of the most iconic tire brands in the world with a new Volvo model tuned and modified by the German company. The new Volvo V40 Pirelli celebrates not just the tire brand’s birthday, but 50 years of the brand in Germany with special Pirelli touches throughout the car. The new Volvo V40 Wagon sports an array of modifications both inside and out that range from the aerodynamically optimized body work to the tuned engine along with new forged wheels, all while wearing Pirelli tires.

The 1.6-liter turbocharged inline four cylinder engine powering the Volvo V40 wagon has been given a generous boost of power compared to its stock form thanks to the team at Heico Sportiv. The engineering team developed a new software tuning program that optimized a number of parameters such as ignition, timing, boost pressure, fuel delivery, and more to create more power with a flatter power curve throughout the rev range. The output went from 150 horsepower and 177 lb-ft. of torque in stock form all the way up to a total of 200 horsepower and 221 lb-ft. of torque being sent to the forged wheels. In addition to the engine tune, a separate top speed limiter removal can also be installed and helps the Volvo V40 accelerate to 62 mph in 7.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 143 mph.

In addition to the engine tune, the Heico Sportiv team gave the Volvo V40 a new chassis where it shows off a net set of Pirelli tires. The team lowered the entire ride height of the car by 30 mm to provide a more dynamic ride and sportier feel. The team then wanted to show off their partnership with Pirelli so they installed a set of 235/35R19 Pirelli PZero tires on 8.0 x 19 Volution VII forged wheels to keep weight to a minimum and improve grip and overall performance.

After the engine and chassis were tuned, Heico Sportiv installed a new aerodynamic body kit on the Volvo V40 Pirelli model. The kit is made from PUR-R-RIM plastic and ensures good strength and stability. The front wears a new spoiler that attaches to the stock bumper and generates downforce. A pair of side skirts run towards the rear and redirect air away from the rear forged wheels. The rear bumper features a new skirt insert that accommodates the new set of quad oval chrome tailpipes that protrude from the bumper. Special red Pirelli badges and striping is worn throughout the body to celebrate the brand and their partnership with Heico Sportiv.
