Ford is conducting a new recall that involves more than 500 vehicles. Affected by this recall are model-year 2014:

  • Ford Focus compacts cars
  • C-Max hybrids

 

These vehicles were manufactured between August 8 and August 15 of the year 2014.

 

Ford is conducting the recall due to improperly assembled steering gears that may impair steering, resulting in a loss of steering control and increasing the risk of a collision.

 

The manufacturer will start informing all affected owners about the recall starting with September 8, 2014. The dealers will inspect the cars and replace the faulty steering gears free of charge.
