A new Audi recall this time affects nearly 70,000 vehicles worldwide. Affected by the recall are A4, A5, A6, A7, Q5 and Q7 models, manufactured between March and December of the year 2012. All the aforementioned crossovers are equipped with a 3-liter TDI engine.
The vehicles are being recalled due to possible brake problems. The thing is that the engine oil may enter the brake servo through the vacuum lines, making it fail as a result. The braking system and the brakes themselves will still operate, however, the driver may need to increase pressure on the pedal so that it works properly.
The problem may pose serious safety risks to the drivers and the passengers of the vehicle. Hence, the automaker will fix the problem with Audi vehicles free of charge for the owners. The repair work will take just half an hour.
