Saturn Vue recall affects nearly 202,115 vehicles from 2002-2004 model-years in the United States. There are two potential problems affecting these vehicles. The first one is that if the vehicle is stopped and put in “Park” position, it may be difficult to get the key out. The second problem affecting these vehicles is the opposite one: The key may be easily moved out when the car is stopped but not in “Park” position.
The two issues are, obviously, ignition-related issues, but according to the company, they are not related to General Motor’s ignition-switch issue that resulted in the recall of more than 10 million vehicles during this year.
GM will notify all affected owners soon and the dealers will inspect the key. If any of the problems does exist, the dealers will fix it free of charge. Saturn Vue owners may contact the manufacturer at 800-553-6000 for more information about the recall.
