Ford announced six recalls in which 101,000 vehicles are affected. This year the automaker has recalled nearly 3 million vehicles in total. The first recall campaign affected the following models:

  • Model-years 2013-2014 Ford Taurus, Flex, Police Interceptor, Lincoln MKS and MKT
  • Model-years 2012-2014 Ford Edge and Lincoln MKX

Affected by the recall are 92,000 vehicles that were not assembled correctly. The thing is that the vehicles may experience loss of drive function and may roll away if in the “Park” position and when the emergency brake isn’t engaged.

Another recall affects nearly 2000 model-year 2014 Escape crossovers. The vehicles are all equipped with a panoramic sunroof. The problem is that the glass and the bracket may not have a good bond between them. This may cause leaks, noise and even a separation from the bracket.

Another Ford recall involves more than 5000 F59 Commercial Stripped Chassis vehicles. The problem is that in states where road salt is used, these vehicles may experience short circuit, resulting in fires and accidents.

Another smaller recall affects nearly 200 Fiesta cars from 2014 model-year. The problem is in the fuel tanks that may be problematic and may result in leaks and fires. Besides, nearly 630 model-year 2014 Ford F53 Motorhome Stripped Chassis and F59 Commercial Stripped Chassis vehicles may be affected by another problem. The stopping power of these vehicles may be decreased due to the issue.

The last recall affects more than 360 model-year 2014 Transit Connect vehicles. The problem is that the brake fluid reservoir caps have not been labeled correctly.

Ford announced six recalls lately and its dealers will fix all of the affected vehicles free of charge for the owners.
