The Mercedes-Benz S 65 AMG Coupe with Forged Wheels and 630 HP

Mercedes-Benz has made a name for itself in the luxury segment and now they are adding to it even more. The new S 65 AMG Coupe is the fourth car to feature the big V-12 engine and does so along with a set of forged wheels, new technology, and more.

The new Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe is already a head turner thanks to its sleek shape and powerful figure with luxurious quality. The S 63 AMG Coupe built on that with some added performance and now there is a new top dog in the lineup with the introduction of the Mercedes-Benz S 65 AMG Coupe. For the fourth time in the history of the brand’s model line, the big luxury performance coupe has a V-12 engine. What makes it even better is that it has all sorts of performance oriented and exclusive appointments throughout from the new set of forged wheels to the advanced suspension and that big, beautiful V-12 engine.

The most exciting part about the new Mercedes-Benz S 65 AMG Coupe is the mighty 6.0 liter V-12 engine that sits under the hood. The 6.0 liter V-12 engine has two turbochargers feeding it with all the boost pressure that it ever needs. Forged internals, advanced technology and more help it to achieve a combined 23.7 mpg NEDC and meet EU6 emissions standards as well. In total, an impressive 630 horsepower from 4,800 to 5,400 RPM and 738 lb-ft. of torque from 2,300 RPM and 4,300 RPM to each of the rear forged wheels. That allows for the big Mercedes-Benz S 65 AMG Coupe to reach 62 mph in only 4.1 seconds and hit an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph.

The chassis and suspension was also designed for not just performance but comfort as well. The Active Body Control, Magic Body Control, and Road Surface Scan work as a united system to detect the road ahead and allow the car to lean or tilt into corners for not just better handling but a more comfortable ride as well. Each of the forged wheels are tilted along with the suspension to allow the car to almost lean into an upcoming turn. A new lithium-ion battery is used to replace the start and backup batteries and saves 44 lbs. of weight compared to the other models with both batteries.

The Mercedes-Benz S 65 AMG Coupe can also be equipped with a set of factory forged wheels and carbon ceramic brakes. The standard rim setup includes 18-spoke forged wheels that have a unique finish and screw able wheel centers. As an option, Mercedes-Benz customers can equip their S 65 AMG Coupe with a new set of carbon ceramic brake discs that reduce fade, cut weight, and offer better stopping power.

Inside, the Mercedes-Benz S 65 AMG Coupe features all of the newest technologies from the German automaker. This high-tech cabin is also paired up with a wealth of exclusive luxuries to make drivine a very enjoyable experience.
