Acura ILX, ILX Hybrid recall affects nearly 14,100 vehicles. Affected are model-year 2013 Acura ILX and ILX Hybrids cars, as well as model-year 2014 ILX Hybrids. Acura ILX sedans were built between January 16, 2012, and March 1, 2013. As for ILX Hybrids, they were manufactured between May 2, 2013, and May 31, 2014. 2014 ILX Hybrids were built between the years 2013 and 2014.
The defect that caused these models to be recalled is that the headlight bulb and the reflector unit may be faulty. The fault may cause smoke and even fire. The driver's visibility may get worse due to the defect, increasing the risk of a collision and injuries.
