Nearly 438,000 vehicles are affected by this Chrysler recall. Included in the recall are model-years 2009-2010 Dodge Journey crossovers that were built between June, 2007 and June, 2010, as well as model-years 2008-2010 Dodge Grand Caravan and Chrysler Town & Country minivans built between January, 2007 and June, 2010.
The problem with these vehicles is that the ignition switch may move out of the Run position, turning off the engine. If this happens, the airbags may not work and the power steering and power braking systems may get disabled.
The automaker has not yet announced a recall-notification schedule for this recall, but the owner will be notified about Chrysler recall, soon. Dealers will replace the faulty ignition switches. All the repair work will be done at no charge to the consumers. Concerned owners can contact the automaker at 800-853-1403 for more information.
