It seems that this chain of GM recalls will never end. Four more recalls by GM have been announced about lately. These new recall campaigns cover nearly 506,873 vehicles. 428,211 of these cars are in the US, over 57,000 are in Canada and the remaining 20,956 are in other markets.

The largest of the recalls is the one covering model-years 2014-2015 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra and model-year 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe, GMC Yukon, Yukon XL and Suburban vehicles. In total, more than 392,450 vehicles are affected by this recall. The problem with these vehicles is that they may electronically switch to neutral without any driver input; this condition may result in serious consequences.

The second in size recall affects nearly 29,019 model-years 2013-2014 Chevrolet Cruze models. The problem is connected with the defective airbag inflator that may rupture during airbag deployment. If this occurs, pieces of the metal components may hit the passengers and may result in serious injuries.

A smaller recall affects nearly 4,790 Chevrolet Caprice police cars and SS sedans from 2013-2014 model-years. The last recall covers Chevrolet Corvettes from 2014 model year. Nearly 1,939 vehicles are affected by the recall. The problem is that the rear shocks may undergo fracture due to a fault.

These are four more recalls by GM. The automaker says it is aware of one injury connected with the Cruze recall and is not aware of any collisions or injuries due to the rest of the defects.
