GM offers dealer bonuses in order to boost the ignition-switch recall repairs. The automaker tries hard to motivate dealers towards completing the repairs as soon as possible. Hence, General Motors offers dealer bonuses and incentives so that to encourage dealers to work and repair as many affected vehicles as possible.
The first bonus that the automaker is offering to the dealers is $250 credits to an online gift shop. The bonus is meant for those service and parts managers who will manage to install 90 percent of the ignition switches shipped to the dealership by July 7, this year.
Additionally, General Motors will give $4,000 in credits to 50 qualifying dealerships selected randomly. This gift, again, can be shared between sales and service workers. Besides, the manufacturer will reward one randomly selected qualifying dealership with a $10,000 prize.
GM offers dealer bonuses and incentives to encourage the repairs of more and more affected vehicles. The thing is that as of June 16, GM has repaired nearly 200,000 vehicles while GM dealerships have received 400,000 repair kits.
