Fostla gives the Mercedes-Benz CLS new Forged Wheels, Tuning, and Styling

The German tuners at Fostla have taken the Mercedes-Benz CLS 350 CDI to the next level in terms of styling and performance. They installed a new engine tune, forged wheels, body kit, and more.

The Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class was the four door coupe that started the game for the entire automotive industry. Its revolutionary sleek, four-door styling helped to make it an incredibly successful automobile. Since then, companies like Hyundai, Audi, Porsche, Volkswagen, BMW, and others have created four-door coupes of their own in an attempt to capitalize on the success of the CLS. Now in its second generation, the Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class still reins king and is an industry favorite. The German aftermarket team at Fostla is also looking to capitalize with their new upgrade program for the CLS 350 CDI that includes engine tuning, a new body kit, styling, and a new set of ten spoke forged wheels to make it even more exclusive.

The entire exterior of the Mercedes-Benz CLS 350 CDI looks more commanding, powerful, and aggressive thanks to a new widebody kit from Prior Design. The kit includes a new front bumper with enlarged air intakes and a lower spoiler lip for downforce. Helping to cool the engine is a new ventilated hood. Each side of the four-door coupe features extended fenders the protrude from the body and house the massive forged wheels. A pair of side skirts connects the vented wheel arches as they run towards the rear. Here, a larger rear bumper with integrated diffuser and exhaust cutout sits below a larger trunk spoiler for added downforce at the rear axle. To finish off the exterior transformation, Fostla installed a matte gold wrap along with tinted badges and headlights.

Power is produced by a 3.0-liter turbodiesel V-6 engine in the Mercedes-Benz 350 CDI. The four-door coupe was given a full engine tune that optimizes a number of parameters including increasing boost pressure for more power and efficiency. The exhaust system was also swapped out for an OEM unit off of the Mercedes-Benz C 63 AMG Black Series model for a more aggressive note. After both upgrades, the 3.0-liter engine sends a total of 310 horsepower and 516 lb-ft. of tire-shredding torque to the rear forged wheels.

The final stage of the upgrade process from Fostla was the suspension and chassis. Here, the German tuners installed a new electronic lowering module that is controlled via a button on the steering wheel and can raise or lower the overall ride height of the CLS. The team then installed a set of ten-spoke, turbine-style forged wheels. The powder-coated, matte-gold-finished concave forged wheels were fitted in a wider 9.0 x 20 front and 10.5 x 20 rear setup for a larger footprint.
