Fiat is recalling 500e vehicles. Affected are nearly 4,141 Fiat 500e model. The affected vehicles are all from 2013 and 2014 model years and were manufactured between September 24, 2012, and April 4, 2014.
The problem with the aforementioned vehicles is that they may lose power. The thing is that the power inverter module may allow coolant to seep onto the electrical parts of the car. This problem may result in a short circuit and a loss of vehicle power.
The problem was discovered by the company itself while investigating the warranty claims of the customers. In five cases the problem was present.
However, it should be noted that the automaker is not aware of any injuries or accidents connected with the issue. The automaker will contact the affected owners directly in order to arrange for dealership visits and repairs. All the needed repairs will be made free of charge.
Concerned owners may contact the Fiat Customer Assistance Center at 1-888-242-6342 for more information about the recall.
