GM recalling Cadillac SRX

GM is recalling Cadillac SRX crossovers from model-year 2013 equipped with a 3.6-liter engine. Nearly 50,571 vehicles are affected by the recall. All the affected vehicles were manufactured between May 29, 2012, and June 26, 2013.

The problem with the affected cars is that at low speeds, the transmission control module programming may cause a few second’s lag in acceleration. This delay may result in a collision. The fix will be to reflash the transmission control module (TCM).

General Motors will inform all the owners of affected cars about the recall and dealers will perform all the repairs free of charge. However, no owner notification schedule is announced yet.Owners with questions can contact Cadillac at 800-458-8006. You can also visit here for more details about the recall.
