Mercedes-Benz GL-Class Recall

Nearly 70 vehicles are affected by Mercedes-Benz GL-Class recall.
Mercedes-Benz GL-Class recall

Nearly 70 vehicles are affected by Mercedes-Benz GL-Class recall. Involved in the recall are model-year 2014 GL350 Bluetec 4Matic, GL450 4Matic, GL550 4Matic and GL63 AMG Sport Utility vehicles manufactured between November 4 and November 15, 2013.

The problem is that according to the NHTSA, in the affected vehicles the second-row seat bottom may not fold down low enough to allow access to the child safety seat anchors. Incorrect child safety seat anchorage may increase the risk of injury during a collision.

It should be noted, however, that according to the manufacturer, there have been no customer complaints regarding the problem.

Mercedes-Benz will notify owner of the affected cars starting in May, 2014. Dealers will inspect cars and fix the problematic parts free of charge. If you are a Mercedes-Benz owner, you can contact the automaker at 800-367-6372 for more information about Mercedes-Benz GL-Class recall.
