Mercedes-Benz C-Class recall

Mercedes-Benz C-Class recall affects nearly 253,000 vehicles in the U.S. Involved in the recall are model-years 2008-2011 Mercedes-Benz C300, C300 4Matic, C350 and C63 AMG luxury cars. All the vehicles were manufactured between January 26, 2007, and July 13, 2011.

The problem with the aforementioned vehicles is a poor electrical ground. This may result in failure of the tail lights. If this happens, it may impact the visibility during night and may cause collisions.

Parts for performing the necessary repairs will be available in August or September.  The automaker will start notifying owners of the affected cars in June. The dealers will replace the bulb holders free of charge. The owners will be sent a second series of notification letters as soon as the parts are available.

Owners with questions about Mercedes-Benz C-Class recall may contact the manufacturer at 800-367-6372 or the NHTSA’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236.
