Jaguar Land Rover recall affects two sets of vehicles. Affected are nearly 300 luxury cars. The first recall affects model-years 2013-2014 XJ, XK and XF vehicles.
The problem with the aforementioned vehicles is that the toe links may separate from the rear sub-frame. It should be noted that that the toe links are used to control the alignment of the rear wheels of a vehicle. If the toe link detaches from the rear sub-frame, the vehicle may lose its stability and a crash may result.
Jaguar will send recall notification letters to the 297 owners and the dealers will perform all the necessary repairs free of charge. The recall is most likely to begin on May 27, 2014. If you are a Jaguar owner you can contact the automaker at 1-855-524-8278 for more information about the recall.
The second recall affects model-year 2014 Range Rover Evoque cars. The affected vehicles were manufactured between November 27, 2013 and December 4, 2013. The problem with the cars is that the bolts connecting the right hand rear suspension link arm may be damaged. This means that the bolts may fail possibly resulting in a loss of control and a crash.
Land Rover will send recall notification letters to the affected owners and the dealers will replace the bolts free of charge. This recall is also expected to begin in May, 2014.
