Evenflo recall affects more than 1.37 million convertible and harnessed child seats. As you may remember, Graco was recalling nearly 4.2 million seats nearly a month ago. The reason for both recalls is quite similar. The problem is that parents find it difficult to unlatch a buckle in the harness. If the buckle gets stuck, parents will not be able to take the children out from the seats during an emergency situation.
The manufacturer will notify affected owners about Evenflo recall this month. New buckles will be shipped with instructions for installation.
The automaker also advises the affected owners to clean the buckles by submerging them into a cup of warm water. Note that no soap should be used there, only warm water. After cleaning the buckle from the pieces of food and drinks, let it air dry completely.
