The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) reports about Jaguar recalling XF and XJ luxury sedans. Affected are only three model-year 2013 Jaguar XF and XJ models. The vehicles were built between in the year 2013 between March 26 and April 10.
The problem with the aforementioned two models is that the certification label may be missing. This means that the owners are not informed about the required gross vehicle weight rating, the manufacture date and the country of manufacture and many other crucial details. If such information is missing, then the vehicle may be overloaded increasing the risk of an accident or a crash.
Hence, the automaker will notify the affected owners in mid-April. The dealers will reacquire the affected luxury sedans and the owners will get proper remedy. If you are a Jaguar owner you can contact the manufacturer at 855-524-8278 for more information about the recall.
