Porsche 911 GT3 recall

Porsche 911 GT3 recall affects almost 209 sports coupes of 2014 model year. The cars were manufactured between October 19, 2013 and January 16, 2014.

The problem with the affected cars is that a piston connecting rod may come loose and damage the engine’s crankcase. As a result of this engine oil may leak possibly causing a fire. It should be noted that in February, 2014, the automaker has issued a warning to all the affected vehicles owners to stop driving the vehicles and to take them to dealerships for repairs. The main reason for this warning was two fires in Europe that were connected with the issue mentioned above.

As for this time, Porsche will again notify the owners of affected vehicles and the dealers will new engines in the affected vehicles free of charge. The manufacturer has not yet announced a notification schedule for Porsche 911 GT3 recall.

You can contact the automaker at 800-767-7243 for more information about the recall. If you want to learn more about auto recalls, visit here: http://www.lemonlawcourt.com/car-recalls/.
