Nearly 656 Cadillac ELR luxury cars are involved in Cadillac ELR recall.

Nearly 656 Cadillac ELR luxury cars are involved in Cadillac ELR recall. The affected vehicles are all of 2014 model year and are NOT equipped with adaptive cruise control. Cadillac ELR coupes were all manufactured between September 26, 2013 and February 14, 2014.

The problem with the aforementioned vehicles is that the electronic stability control system software is defective and may fail to inform the driver that the system is disabled. If the driver does not receive such kind of information, he or she may continue driving the vehicle with a disabled system. This may increase the risk of a crash.

General Motors will start notifying the owners of affected cars about the Cadillac ELR recall on April 17. The dealers will inspect the vehicles and repair them at no charge to the owners.
