Duster is Attacking Dakar Rally Challenge

Renault Argentina has announced that their Duster would be ready at the 2013 Dakar Rally, which will be held in South America. Renault Duster prepared two cars with two crews for this Dakar Rally challenge.


Renault and Dacia Duster has already proven his ability on the road and out of it, how excellent sales results worldwide and highly responsive markets. Renault now wants to go one step further and show its off-road capability of the most prestigious and toughest rally.

The Dakar Rally is definitely one of the few competitions that were organized in such a large territory, and therefore one of the most challenging and toughest automotive competitions in general. In just fifteen days it takes, rally teams must exceed about 8000 miles through all kinds of terrain and also to cope with severe weather conditions. Endurance, physical and mental strength have always been the most important elements that are needed  to the teams to the finish of this rally, and is still considered an absolute success at all to finish Dakar Rally, not even beat on it. The car that wins the rally this generally brings a lot of positive publicity to the company that made it and proves that this car can withstand all conditions and challenges that are placed before him.

As always Dakar start at the beginning of the year, and this time it will be his 34th release, but for the fifth consecutive year as the rally moved to South America, retaining the name of the original route, which started from Paris and ended in Dakar. Dakar Rally begins this year on the 5th January and will be held on the territory of three South American countries, Peru, Argentina and Chile. The starting point is in Lima, capital of Peru, and all ends in Santiago, Chile.

Dakar Rally this year will also visit and specially prepared Renault Duster, which was powered by 3.5-liter V6 petrol engine that produces 306 hp. This engine is mated to a 6-speed sequential gearbox with rugged slip differential and of course the drive to all four wheels. Neither the suspension does not have many points in common with serial duster and got competitive with adjustable shock absorbers. 
How much happiness and success Duster have the toughest rally in the world, remains yet to be seen, but in any case it is clear that his reputation as a very capable off-roader even more.
