GM has announced about three separate recalls affecting more than one million vehicles. The first recall affects nearly 1,18 million model years 2008-2013 Buick Enclave and GMC Acadia Sport Utility vehicles and model years 2009-2013 Chevrolet Traverse vehicle, as well as model years 2008-2010 Saturn Outlook SUVs.

The problem with the vehicles is the wiring harness of the side airbags that may cause the airbag warning light to illuminate. According to the automaker, if the drivers ignore this, the airbags may fail to deploy during a crash. The dealers will inspect the affected cars and fix them for free. If your vehicle is affected you can call GM at 800-521-7300 for more information.

The second recall affects nearly 303,000 model years 2009-2014 Chevrolet Express and GMC Savana full-size vans. These vehicles do not comply with certain federal requirements. This time, again, the automaker will notify the owners and the dealers will fix the cars for free. You can call GM at 866-996-9463 for more information about the recall.

The third recall affects more than 63,000 vehicles of 2013-2014 model years. Affected are Cadillac XTS luxury sedans. The problem, according to the automaker, is that corrosive elements may enter the housing causing a short. This may result in fire of engine compartment. The dealers will inspect the affected vehicles and replace the defective parts free of charge. If you are a Cadillac owner you can contact the automaker at 800-333-4223 for more information.
