The Monstrous ABT Audi RS 6 Avant has 730 HP, 3 Piece Wheels, and Lots of Speed

The Audi RS 6 Avant may not look like a traditional supercar but it has similar performance. Especially after ABT Sportsline tunes it, adds some 3 piece wheels, aerodynamic body work, and chassis upgrades.

Supercars usually have a certain shape, design, and purposeful style to them and packed with a powerful engine. The cars look like they were built for speed rather than capability or cargo hauling. One of those cars that somewhat defies the conventional rules for supercars is the Audi RS 6 Avant. The high performance wagon variant of the RS 6 is not only very fast but very powerful as well and more than capable of handling itself on the road. Its twin-turbocharged V-8 engine is capable of laying down some serious power and is packed with a lot of potential that’s relatively easy to tap in to. The aftermarket Audi and Volkswagen specialists at ABT Sportsline have made sure that the Audi RS 6 Avant also looks and performs the part of a supercar with a full engine, chassis and body kit upgrade. Everything from 3 piece wheels to roof mounted spoilers are used to ensure maximum performance, speed, and style on the super wagon.

The entire exterior of the Audi RS 6 Avant by ABT Sportsline is more dramatic and aggressive thanks to a new lightweight body kit. Up front sits a large front splitter to generate downforce and a set of side flics on either side of the air intakes to generate downforce at high speeds and create a more commanding presence on the road. Moving towards the rear is a new set of side skirts that sit between the front and rear 3 piece wheels. The big butt of the Audi RS 6 Avant was equipped with a new roof mounted spoiler wing while the lower portion of the bumper has black exhaust tips protruding and a new diffuser insert to ensure maximum stability at higher speeds.

Under the hood of the Audi RS 6 Avant sits a tuned version of the 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V-8 engine. The team at ABT Sportsline modified the V-8 motor with a new air intake system to draw in greater amounts of air with better efficiency, along with a full stainless steel exhaust system that includes performance mufflers and sport catalytic converters. The final touch was a new ECU software tune that allows the engine to send a whopping 730 horsepower and 920 Nm of torque through the Quattro drive system to all four of the 3 piece wheels. This allows for a top speed of 199 mph.

The final aspect was the chassis. The ABT Sportsline team removed the OEM rim and tire setup and installed a new set of forged and concave 3 piece wheels for a more aggressive look. The new 3 piece wheels were installed in a wide 10.0 x 22 setup at the front and rear and given high performance Pirelli P Zero tires to grab at the asphalt.
