Toyota Highlander recall affects more than 7000 SUVs in the United States. The affected sport utility vehicles were built between Nov. 20, 2013, and Jan. 18, 2014. The vehicles are of 2014 model-year.
The problem with the affected vehicles is that the middle seat belt assembly of the third-row may not have been properly connected to the car’s floor anchorage. If this is true in a given vehicle, then it may increase the risk of an injury during a car crash.
The recall will start in March, 2014. Toyota Highlander owners will be notified via mail. And the dealers will inspect the affected vehicles and fix them, if needed. All the repairs will be performed free of charge.
