Nissan North America, Inc. is conducting a Nissan Frontier recall of nearly 13,535 vehicles. The affected vehicles are all Nissan Frontier pickups of 2012-2014 model years and were built between November 28, 2012 and December 17, 2013.
In the affected pickups, a circuit breaker may have been installed improperly causing the main wire harness connected to the circuit breaker to look outward. As a result it may contact the metal bolt on the A-pillar. Electrical short circuit may occur as a result. In the event of an electric short circuit, a fire may occur.
The automaker will start notifying the owners about the Nissan Frontier recall in early March 2014. Owners can contact the automaker at 1-800-647-7261 for more information about the recall.
