2013 Jeep Liberty Freedom Edition

Jeep Liberty Freedom Edition specifications, suspension, brakes, safety and luxury info.
Jeep Liberty Freedom Edition

The 2013 Jeep Liberty Freedom Edition is Jeep’s newest inclusion to their Jeep Liberty line of smaller, more economical sport utility vehicles. Continuing in the tradition of the whole Jeep line, whose origins date back to the venerable ‘Jeep” (Vehicle, wheeled, General purpose (GP), four-wheel drive) from World War II and through Vietnam, Jeep has introduced the limited edition Liberty Freedom Edition as a special order only version for those that have served the United States in uniform. One unique identifying feature of this limited edition vehicle will be the “Oscar Mike” badges prominently displayed, showing that the vehicle and its owner are both “On Mission” and “On the Move.”

Drivetrain Specifications

As with all other editions of the 2013 Jeep Liberty, the Freedom, or Patriot Edition is available in either two-wheel or four-wheel drive versions. The Liberty Edition comes equipped with a 2.4-liter dual overhead cam engine with variable valve timing (VVT) backed by a continuously variable  transaxle (CVTII) that delivers 21 city and 26 highway miles per gallon.

Suspension and Brakes and Safety

Buyers of the Freedom/Patriot Edition will receive vehicles equipped with Jeep’s Electronic Roll Control and Stability Control, as well as four-wheel antilock disc brakes. Jeep feels that our military veterans should have the safest ride available, so all models will also be equipped with active head restraints, with advanced multistage airbags, including side curtains.

Luxury and Privacy

To prevent night-time beverage spills, the cup holders are illuminated, making them easier to find at night. Front and rear floor mats are special luxurious editions. Air conditioning with automatic temperature control comes standard on all Patriot/Freedom models. Deep tint sunscreen, or privacy glass, comes standard all around. Side views mirrors are electrically adjusted and heated to prevent frosting. For our on the move members of the military, you’ll also find a 115-volt auxiliary power outlet.

Stay Entertained on the Road

Our military veterans deserve the best multimedia experience possible, so Jeep has included a six CD/DVD/MP3 player audio system with one year subscription to Sirius or XM satellite radio service.  The audio system has full controls mounted on the steering wheel, enhancing safety while retaining the ability to make needed audio adjustments.
